The Best Burger Barn was created in May 2009 in Cleburne (Egan), Texas by Byron Rose. Sitting in his circular driveway in a lawn chair with a WalMart fryer, a backyard grill, and a cooler of drinks (yeah, beer too!), Byron started serving the best burgers in Texas! Over the course of a couple of years, the “burger word” spread far and wide. Assisted by his friends and the community, a building was put up and the restaurant became a roadhouse serving the fresh original recipe burgers and expanding into fresh catfish and chicken.
In 2016, Byron met Rick Rambo and their friendship morphed into a business partnership that today is an award-winning and nationally recognized certified veteran-owned and operated business. There are now six restaurants in operation from Denison to Anson, Texas. As hands-on owners, Byron and Rick load the truck up and travel to every restaurant weekly - over 150,000 miles a year! Just regular guys, Rick and Byron are described by friends and family as a “…couple of rednecks with a restaurant chain….” If ya see em – and ya will - say howdy!
Always fresh and never frozen, our food is cooked when you order, so it takes a little longer but it’s the way we roll. We don’t use heat lamps or such nonsense.
In 2017, Byron and Rick explored other types of restaurants to adopt into the family – and who doesn’t love pizza?! But it had to be the highest quality balanced with value. The Pizza Barn was born…and we are proud of what was created. We know you’ll love it too.
